routes of interest
The following sightseeing routes are suggestions intended to help the visitor become acquainted with different ecosystems and scenery in our municipality.

Sa Canova and the Na Borges mountain stream
Two kilometres of marvellous unspoilt beach, very special sand dunes and a wetland with interesting flora and fauna.

From Colònia de Sant Pere to Es Caló
One leaves the Colònia along the coast road that goes in the direction of Cala los Camps. Once past the large Cala d'Estret, one can leave the road on the inland side of Taverner Point and take a path on the left that skirts the sea shore.

From Cala Torta to the sands of Albarca
To walk the Path of the Carabiners from Cala Torta to the sands of Albarca is to explore the most unspoilt stretch of coast in the Artà area. This is the domain of the smugglers of long ago and present day anglers.

From the houses of Betlem to the Hermitage
Before getting to the development of Betlem, a track on the right leads to the old barracks and outbuildings of Betlem, now converted into a environmental and leisure centre, belonging to the council.

From Artà to the Hermitage
This is an all day hike, which introduces the walker to the scenery of all the common land, such as the Artà mountains.

From Artà to Bellpuig
One sets out towards Cala Ratjada from the station in Costa i Llobera Avenue, and one should take the first lane on the right.

The Artà of the Squirearchy
Carrer Ciutat narrows, climbs the slope and changes its name for that of Antoni Blanes. Once at the top, one is in the old centre of the town, the quarter of the great houses (courts) of the landowners and of those who made their fortune in South America.

The Artà of the Artisans
From the church one descends down the steep Mal Lloc (Bad Place) Steps and one leaves the Artà of the gentry to enter the Artà of the craftsmen.
